Commission is “an independent body, set up to promote and drive
improvement in the quality of healthcare and public health”.
Independent healthcare providers in England must be registered with
the Healthcare Commission and to do this they must comply with many
regulations and their services must meet set standards in a number
of areas including safety, cleanliness, waiting times and care delivery.
